GOLEBIOWSKI AND GOALIE TANDEM EARN BLOOMFIELD ACCOLADES

 

GLANBROOK (Mar. 9) — Glanbrook captain Sean Golebiowski was a double winner as the Bloomfield Division announced its annual awards.  The lanky Rangers’ leader was named the division’s Most Valuable Player, as well as taking the scoring championship with 31 goals and 36 assists for 67 points, a total that placed him ninth overall in the PJHL.

Meanwhile, goaltenders Tiago Rocha and Jason Sviergula shared the award for top netminders.  The dynamic duo posted a combined goals-against average of 2.25, allowing just 90 goals against in 40 games, while backstopping the team to a 35-3-3-1 (74 points) record, tying the Rangers with the Essex 73s for top spot in the PJHL.   They also teamed up for a .927 save percentage.  Sviergula was also recently selected as the Bloomfield player of the month for February, an honour that was award to Golebiowski for September/October.
