BRIAN HOLLOWAY NAMED RANGERS GENERAL MANAGER

GLANBROOK (JULY 16) — The Glanbrook Rangers have announced that Brian Holloway has been named as the team’s general manager.  John McDonald, the Rangers’ longtime general manager and former coach, will take on the role of Director of Hockey Operations.

Holloway has served for several years as the Rangers’ assistant general manager and head scout.  He has extensive experience in minor and junior hockey, having previously served as the chief scout and general manager for the Ancaster Avalanche of the Greater Ontario Junior B Hockey League. He has also been involved in player recruitment for the Hamilton Huskies minor hockey organization as the operations manager for the U18 team last season, and has organized summer hockey development programs and travelling teams that have sent many young players into the junior and college ranks.

Holloway’s principal task will be recruiting talent for the upcoming Provincial Junior Hockey League season.

“I believe that we will have a strong group of returning players, in addition to a few very exciting new additions to our lineup,” said Holloway. “Our goal is to achieve a League Championship this season and we believe that our group of players has the talent, the desire and is willing to do everything possible to reach our goal.”

Players interested in trying out for the Rangers are encouraged to contact Holloway at (905) 220-4764 or bholloway1@cogeco.ca
